Portuguese company BEEVERYCREATIVE has an ambitious goal – to change the world through 3D printing. Its values include personal creativity, sustainability, and a people-focused attitude. The company also maintains a strong focus on education through 3D printing, working with schools to get the technology into the classroom. BEEVERYCREATIVE offers a variety of 3D printers for home, professional and educational use, and now it has announced that its latest 3D printer is available for pre-order: the DIY kit B2X300.
“B2X300 is the result of a vast market research and hours of development and engineering from BEEVERYCREATIVE’s R&D team,” BEEVERYCREATIVE states. “It is an open source project, which means this is a versatile product that you can build upon and make it your own!”
The dual-extruder B2X300 has a full metal frame and a modular motherboard that can be upgraded or customized. It features sensorless homing as well as power loss detection and recovery, so that you won’t lose a print job if you lose power. It’s a user-friendly 3D printer with easy offset calibration and filament end detection so that you won’t run out of filament mid-print. Other features include automatic bed leveling, an optimized heated bed, and silent trinamic stepper drivers. The B2X300 can print with virtually any filament on the market, from your basic PLA and ABS to more complex composites.
The B2X300 has a print volume of 300 x 200 x 300 mm, and offers print resolution of 50 to 300 microns. It is available for pre-order from now until October 13th for €599.90, including two spools of PLA filament. After that, the price will be €649.90. Delivery time should be anywhere from four to six weeks.
BEEVERYCREATIVE first announced the launch of the B2X300 a few weeks ago, getting quite a bit of attention as this is the first new 3D printer the company has released in three years. BEEVERYCREATIVE’s team was very careful with the development of this particular 3D printer, conducting a great deal of market research and customer surveys to aid in its design. Beta versions of the printer were delivered to testers in April of this year, with their feedback also being added in to the final design.
The B2X300 is a 3D printer for those who are already well-versed in 3D printing, as opposed to its other, more plug and play, models. It’s a printer you can build yourself and “make your own” as BEEVERYCREATIVE says. It’s part of the company’s “maker” segment of 3D printers, along with the earlier HelloBeePrusa.
BEEVERYCREATIVE will be presenting the new B2X300 at the TCT Show, which will be taking place in Birmingham, England from September 25th to 27th.
