XYZprinting , a New Kinpo Group company, has confirmed that their latest 3D printing software will be Windows 10 compatible and work with their da Vinci 1.0, da Vinci 2.0, da Vinci 1.0 AiO and da Vinci Junior series printers.
New Kinpo Group is a global electronic manufacturing services (EMS) company offering a broad range of original design manufacturing (ODM) services and product lines. The announcement stated that XYZprinting is dedicated to bringing cost-effective 3D printing to educators and classrooms, consumers and artists, small-to-mid-sized businesses, and households around the world.
XYZprinting will launch their software in tandem with the upcoming global releaese of Windows 10. The release is set for Tuesday night at midnight ET. This will be the hour of Windows 10, and it is one of the most hyped Windows releases in recent years. For those unfamiliar with the upcoming OS platform, Windows 10 is designed to work as an upgrade, unlike Windows 8, and it will sport a new interface and offer users voice command with Cortana, a new edge browser, and fuller Xbox integration.
XYZprinting software will sync seamlessly with Windows 10’s 3D Builder app, meaning a broader audience of Windows users will be able engage in 3D designing on their Windows devices and take advantage of 3D printing on their desktops, laptops and tablets. XYZprinting customers who use Windows 10 will have the option of installing new 3D printer drivers directly with Windows updates as well, streamlining the user experience.

You can already install the 3D Builder app at the Microsoft online store. I actually tried it out myself and had fun nudging 3D objects around and testing out the built-in ragdoll physics allowing users to toss around mesh elements in the viewport. This new UI is incredibly simple and self-explanatory to use, and is appropriate for general and new 3D users seeking to 3D print at work or at home.
The fact that XYZprinting software will sync with Microsoft’s 3D Builder app, means that device owners who purchase the windows upgrade will be ready to 3D print. XYZprinting’s device drivers will also be installed automatically with Windows 10 updates.
XYZprinting’s new software will sync seamlessly with the Windows 10 3D Builder app, providing users with a simplified 3D designing and printing experience on their desktops, laptops and tablets. Other exciting features that will further streamline the process for all 3D printing consumer device operators is the ability to send multiple jobs to the 3D printers at once. This is analogous to the way users of traditional desktop printers use the devices already, but job spooling and queuing support is an area where 3D printers have arguably lagged behind. XYZprinting is seeking to make printing multiple items easier with this new feature.
XYZprinting seems incredibly pleased with the new Windows 10 support.
“Microsoft is on the cutting edge of technology. With Windows 10, we’re pleased to hear that XYZprinting customers who upgrade their operating systems will have software that fully supports the latest in 3D printing designing and processing,” said Simon Shen, CEO of XYZprinting. “Together, XYZprinting and Windows integrate designers’ creativity with technology more easily than ever before.”
